Michy Batshuayi has been struggling to get regular playing time since his big money move to Chelsea. The Belgian international has been impressive when given a chance, but Diego Costa’s goalscoring form means he is Antonio Conte’s first choice striker.

There have been reports in France suggesting Batshuayi could return to Marseille on loan in January to get regular playing time, which were quite weak, but it appears there is also interest in Italy.

According to Italian TV channel Mediaset Premium (via Le 10 Sport), AC Milan are keeping close tabs on the 23-year-old.

Mediaset Premium believe Batshuayi could also ‘seriously consider’ leaving in January if his situation doesn’t change. It’s unlikely Conte would want to let go Batshuayi in the winter, as Chelsea don’t really have another established back-up option.

The Belgium international certainly hasn’t suggested he’s unhappy, and given that it’s only October, there’s plenty of time for Bathsuayi to get more game time. The Italian media may want Batshuayi to be more worried about his situation than he actually is.

Chelsea are certainly not going to be keen to loan out the player after such a big investment, and so Batshuayi would have to push for a move, and that appears quite unlikely right now.
