On Tuesday morning, Rai reported Manchester United have reached an agreement with US Lecce to sign Patrick Dorgu for €30m plus €5m bonuses in the winter market.

Later that day, Solo Lecce stated the Red Devils are paying €35m in fixed fee plus €5m bonuses for the 20-year-old. They also reported his starting salary at Manchester United will be €2m per year, likely after taxes.

Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio provides the latest on the operation to take Dorgu to Manchester United.

He says Ruben Amorim’s side reached an agreement with Lecce on Tuesday for €30m plus €7.5m bonuses. The figures are varying, but the Denmark international’s transfer to Old Trafford is on the right track.

Manchester United are sorting out the final details of the operation with the Serie A side. There’s confidence this will be finalised today and once that’s done, the player will travel to Manchester.

Di Marzio states Dorgu is scheduled to travel tomorrow for medical tests and to sign the contract with Manchester United.

The Dane has operated across multiple positions, but mainly as a right winger and a left-back. He managed three goals and an assist from 21 league games for Lecce this season.
