There’s nothing wrong with a bit of ambition and there’s plenty of that oozing from Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, who has revealed he fancies a move to Arsenal, Manchester United or Real Madrid.
The striker has been speaking to Men’s Health, relayed by Soccer News, where he’s revealed his plans for the future and where he sees himself playing.
The 22-year-old has been enjoying life back at Ajax since returning from a failed spell at RB Leipzig in July 2022, scoring 14 goals in 45 games in all competitions last season and 21 goals in 39 games so far this season.
That’s seen him again linked with a move away from the Dutch side, with Manchester United in particular having been credited with an interest thanks to Erik ten Hag.
A second move away from Ajax is yet to materialise but if he continues to impress that may be on the horizon, with a record of 48 goals and 17 assists in 115 games for Ajax not to be sniffed and certainly worth attention.
That’s something it seems he’s more than aware of and, if he had the choice of where to go, it seems it would be between Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
“I’m about to blossom,” he said.
“If I see myself and how I have played in the last few months, I think I am doing quite well. I still want to achieve many great things in my career, such as playing for a very big football club.
“Real Madrid is a beautiful club. Arsenal, Manchester United… How much am I worth? After the European Championships, €80m. Going to the European Championships is also a dream of mine.
“If I can score a goal, I promote myself even more and increase my value. If I succeed, I’m doing well. I have to score that goal. I want to pay Ajax back. Of course I left, but they brought me back. I want to make sure I have been worth it.”
