Swansea City have their eye on Sirius winger Noel Milleskog, and it seems he’s open to the idea too.
That’s at least if his latest comments to Fotboll Skanalen are anything to go by, with the 22-year-old speaking positively about Swansea when asked about a potential transfer.
The outlet reports that Milleskog has been earning himself plenty of admirers after leaving Djurgårdens IF in January for first-team football at Sirius.
Since then, he’s managed six goals and four assists in 17 games for the club, numbers that have not gone unnoticed in Europe.
He’s recently been linked with Swansea; with Swans boss Luke Williams confirmed the club had looked at the 22-year-old and describing him as “very talented”.
The Championship side are not his only suitors either, with Dutch side Go Ahead Eagles and KV Kortrijk from Belgium also believed to be keeping an eye on his development.
Milleskog is well aware of the developing interest in him and only sees that as a positive, putting plenty of praise on Swansea and speaking of them positively.
“A lot has been written and rumoured, and I only take it as positive,” he said when asked about the interest in him.
“I see it as a carrot to continue and take it as a sign that it has been a good season. There is nothing that affects me negatively, that I fly away or think about something else. My thoughts are one hundred percent in Uppsala and on Sirius. I take it as motivation.”
“It’s great fun,” he added when asked about Swansea and Williams’ comments.
“Then there seems to be something in it, if it has now come out so officially. It’s a big club with a lot of history, so I have to try to use that as a driving force going forward. I take that as a motivation.
“I feel great in Uppsala and in Sirius, so it is important to have a good deal for all three parties. It is important for me when I take the next step, that it should benefit me and Sirius. I want to give back for the trust and the chance that I have been given here.”
