Fotospor claim Martin Skrtel has rejected an offer from Rangers as he could still stay at Fenerbahce beyond this season.
It’s been well documented in the Turkish press in the past several months Rangers are interested in taking the Slovakian defender, who will become a free agent at the end of the season, to the Scottish Premiership.
However, it seems the 34 year old will not be heading for Ibrox this summer and a possible reunion with his former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard.
It’s reported Rangers have offered €800K per year to Skrtel but the central defender has turned this down.
Skrtel is currently earning close to €4m with Fenerbahce and Fotospor claim he could still remain with the Yellow Canaries after they held talks with his agent.
Fenerbahce are looking to seal a one year deal with Skrtel and Fotospor negotiations will continue at the end of the season.
The player has also been linked with a move to Serie A side Parma in recent weeks, along with Rangers.
