Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United were credited with interest in Santos’ Ângelo Gabriel during the winter market.
On January 2nd, Gazzetta dello Sport stated the Magpies and Milan showed willingness to sign the 18-year-old last month.
Earlier this month, reports from Brazil said Santos rejected the Tricky Trees’ approach for Ângelo. It was also explained Nottingham Forest would get another chance to sign him.
They will be joined in their efforts by Newcastle.
Flamengo are also showing interest in the forward. On Thursday, journalist Guilherme Silva stated they could offer Marinho to Santos as part of a deal for the teenager. This claim is relayed by Bolavip in Brazil, who then provide their own information on this case.
Santos president Andrés Rueda is expected to return Flamengo’s offer for Ângelo because of the two Premier League sides. He ‘should receive proposals’ from Steve Cooper’s side and the Magpies in the summer.
Nottingham Forest and Newcastle have already signalled to Santos their willingness to propose a fee of €20m or more to secure Ângelo’s services in the next window.
