Belenenses winger Licá has given a two-page interview to Portuguese newspaper Record this Saturday.
As usually happens, the 30-year-old has recalled all of his career so far, including the time he spent at Nottingham Forest, which isn’t really a big chapter of it.
Record had only one question to make about the Licá’s time in the Championship, which how the doors to the English side were opened.
“It was almost at the end of the transfer market. I had a contract with FC Porto, I could not find a club and Nottingham Forest came to buy me,” Licá told Record.
The reporter didn’t even have to make another question for the player to say that things didn’t go as expected at his new club.
“It was not a very happy experience, because I could not adapt to English football, I’m sincere.”
Licá moved to Nottingham Forest on a €350k transfer from Porto in the summer of 2016. He only stayed for the first half of that season, making seven appearances for the club.
In January 2017, Licá was loaned out to Estoril, and after returning to Forest in the summer, he was moved to Spanish side Granada on a free transfer.
