Eintracht Frankfurt won’t block Omar Marmoush from joining Nottingham Forest and seem to be waiting for the Premier League side to up their bid.
That’s according to BILD, who report that everyone at the German club is ‘waiting with bated breath’ to see if the 25-year-old ends up departing.
The newspaper reports that the Egyptian ‘definitely wants’ to go to England and the Premier League, and Frankfurt won’t stand in his way.
They go against reports from elsewhere and insist that Nottingham Forest are yet to make an official offer for the striker. They have, however, told Frankfurt what they are willing to pay, around €20m.
That’s not enough for the Bundesliga side, who have decided internally that a €30m price tag would be acceptable. They had previously eyed up as much as €40m but have come down from those demands.
Plans are already in place to replace him with another striker should he depart, but that depends on Nottingham Forest offering the right amount of money.
There’s nothing standing in their way at this moment in time, with Frankfurt having promised Marmoush that they would not stand in his way if the Premier League came calling.
