For the past few weeks, there have been repeated claims in Italy stating that Napoli star Kim Min-jae is set to make a switch to Manchester United in the summer window.
The centre-back has a release clause between €50-60m, valid between July 1st and July 15th, which the Red Devils reportedly want to exercise. Prior to that, Erik ten Hag’s side are trying to agree a deal with the player himself over personal terms.
According to Calciomercato, Manchester United have already had a ‘couple of summits’ with the 26-year-old’s agent.
The Premier League side, who have been courting the defender for at least two months, have tabled a deal worth €7m net per year. The South Korea international now ‘falters’ and is ‘ready to say yes’ to Manchester United.
The Italian media believe Min-jae’s future is ‘increasingly towards’ the English club, who they believe will pay his clause in July.
Faced with the central defender’s impending ‘farewell’, the Serie A winners are thinking of replacing him with Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini.
