Hellas Verona defender Jackson Tchatchoua is ‘ready to pack his bags’ as Everton circle, with the Italian side waiting for an offer to be made.
That’s according to Inter Live, who cover Everton’s interest in the defender today as Inter Milan have also been linked with a potential move.
They explain that while Inter seemingly target Tchatchoua’s teammate, Juan David Cabal, it is actually Tchatchoua who is ‘ready to pack his bags’ this summer.
He has been on Inter’s radar for some time as a potential replacement for Denzel Dumfries, but the Dutchman is now set to sign a new contract, leaving Tchatchoua free to potentially head elsewhere.
Everton are the most likely at this moment in time and they like the player for his physicality and versatility, plus the fact he can play right-back, midfielder, as a winger and at left-back if need be.
Hellas Verona, for their part, are ‘waiting for an offer’ to be made but are open to a sale as it will allow them to fund their own incomings this summer.
The player and his agents, DW Sports Management, ‘seem happy to be able to evaluate proposals’ too and particularly if they come from the Premier League. €8m would be enough to secure the player’s signature.
Everton are yet to offer it formally, it seems, but Hellas Verona and Tchatchoua are waiting, and the deal is absolutely there to be done if the Toffees do want it.
