Finally, after what has been weeks of negotiating, Stefano Sensi is on his way to Leicester City to complete his transfer to England from Inter Milan.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it journalist Giorgio Musso, who has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to bring the latest news on the situation.
He points out the deal taking Sensi to Leicester will be a permanent transfer, and there has been movement down the player’s end.
That’s because the 28-year-old was not in training at Appiano Gentile with Inter, and is ‘ready to fly’ to England to ensure that his move to the Championship gets done in time before the transfer deadline.
If this gets over the line, and everything seems to point in the direction that it will, it will bring an end to what has been a rather stressful time for Leicester and the midfielder.
What appeared to be a fairly straightforward deal for a player whose contract was expiring at the end of the season turned into a complicated set of delays and negotiations, with the formula changing a number of times.
In the end, the belief is he will move for a minimal fee with a €2m or so bonus heading Inter’s way once Leicester get promoted to the Premier League.
