Over the past few days, there has been talk that Nottingham Forest have taken a serious interest in Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson to bolster their defence.
The Denmark international was initially a target for other Premier League clubs, but it was revealed by Gianluca Di Marzio that the Tricky Trees has joined the fray.
Aksam acknowledge this on Friday, recalling that it was the Italian media that first brought the news of Nottingham Forest wanting to sign Nelsson before adding their own information.
Di Marzio’s report wasn’t detailed, but the Turkish outlet’s is, as they make it clear that the Premier League side have now ‘made an offer’ for the centre-back.
It’s said to be €18m up front, with a few bonuses on top that could take the package to €22m.
While Galatasaray have been ‘insistent’ on wanting the €25m from his release clause to accept a transfer, it’s now believed they will ‘accept’ the offer from Nottingham Forest so as to not have any problems with FFP down the line.
Down the player’s end, they reveal that the player is ‘ready to accept’ the move to City Ground because he ‘wants to play in a bigger league’.
