On Tuesday, Corriere di Bologna reported Manchester United’s interest in Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee is growing stronger.
This claim emerged a day after the same outlet stated the Red Devils have convinced the striker to join them.
Wednesday’s edition of Corriere di Bologna continues to discuss Manchester United’s interest in the 23-year-old.
It’s explained that the Dutchman ‘seems to be ready to accept’ a move to Old Trafford this summer.
The Serie A side expect him to leave after their director, Giovanni Sartori, said there’s a 99% chance he’ll be sold this summer. Taking this into account, the report says Zirkzee’s exit is certain and he ‘should end up’ at Manchester United.
It feels like Corriere di Bologna are assuming the Premier League side would be the frontman’s next destination.
They are insisting Zirkzee will leave because of Sartori’s latest admission, and assume he will end up at Manchester United. This isn’t surprising considering they have been pushing him towards Old Trafford for the past few days.
If Manchester United are as keen as this newspaper are claiming, they can sign Zirkzee by activating his €40m clause.
