The end of last week saw endless claims in the Italian media about Tottenham being on the verge of signing Federico Chiesa, although as we said at the time it felt like more out of hope than expectation, especially given the figures mentioned.
This week that’s changed into claims of the player’s agent Fali Ramadani trying to get one of Tottenham, Chelsea, Manchester United or Arsenal to make an offer.
Now Calciomercato.it have reported that Chiesa has no intention of staying at the Bianconeri.
Juventus take on Brest in a pre-season friendly tomorrow and Chiesa may not be called up to the squad, which would make it even clearer his time with the club is over.
Intriguingly, it’s also explained Juventus aren’t stocking the player’s shirt number for their 2024/25 kits at their club shop. That’s seen as another hint that he’s on the way out, and Tottenham continue to be named as a potential destination.
Ramadani needs to get a move on and secure some actual offers for his client.
