Dele Alli left Everton in the summer transfer window, with his career still struggling to get back on track.
The Englishman played only 13 times for the Toffees and his loan stint at Besiktas wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, even though he scored three times in 15 games for the Turkish giants.
Now a free agent after the Everton exit, Alli is still looking for a club. He was linked with Genoa some weeks ago but the move never materialised.
Another Serie A side has now been handed a chance to sign the midfielder.
InterLive reveal that the club in question is indeed the Italian champions, stating that Alli has been offered to them.
This is the work of Alli’s intermediaries, who have ‘proposed’ to Inter Milan the idea of landing the midfielder.
The Nerazzurri did consider the move but due to the vision of the new Oaktree ownership, they decided to pass on the chance.
Simone Inzaghi’s side would rather trust young Thomas Berenbruch instead of signing Alli, who is seemingly very unlikely to return to Everton. The Merseyside club was open to signing him again, if he could prove his fitness but things haven’t quite progressed.
As of now, the 28-year-old’s hunt for a new club will go on.
