Poor Eden Hazard continues to be the subject of criticism in the Madrid media, something which came to a head after the Champions League matches against Chelsea.

Following Thomas Tuchel’s side kicking Real Madrid out of Europe’s elite competition, Hazard was seen laughing and joking with Chelsea players including César Azpilicueta and Kurt Zouma.

That went down terribly in sections of the Spanish sport media, with it being felt Hazard has generally shown Madrid a lack of respect since walking out on Stamford Bridge for Los Blancos.

There’s huge disappointment at his contribution on the pitch, and his general attitude off it, with some feeling he’s simply not fit enough and doesn’t care too much about that either.

Pedja Mijatovic, who played for Real Madrid, and also had a spell as the club’s director of football, has been speaking to Cadena Ser, and made it clear he’s not impressed with Hazard.

“We all know what he was like at Chelsea and in two years here he has practically done nothing,” Mijatovic said, as well as adding “I don’t know if he will be able to regain his form, I’m not very optimistic.”
