On December 29th, we carried a report from Nettavisen, who explained Philip Zinckernagel’s agent has ‘landed a deal’ to take the Bodø/Glimt forward to Watford.

The Dane impressed for the Norwegian side this season, scoring 19 goals and registering 24 assists in 28 league appearances. His fine displays and impressive performances caught attention of a handful clubs across Europe.

According to BT in Denmark, Olympiakos and Sporting were mentioned as a possible destination for the 26-year-old in the past.

However, it now looks like he will be moving to England as he is ‘on the verge’ of signing for the Hornets.

The attacker recently changed agents and is now represented by super-agent Pini Zahavi. Speaking to the same outlet in November, Zinckernagel was hopeful his association with Zahavi will open the door for him to change clubs in the winter market.

BT now state the agent has now delivered what his client had hoped for last month. They further explain Zinckernagel underwent medical with the Championship side on Tuesday.

His contract with Bodø/Glimt expires tomorrow and hence, he can join Watford as a free agent in the winter market.
