With David De Gea regaining his starting spot at Manchester United, there are now questions asked about the future of Dean Henderson.
The player has been linked with various teams around Europe as well as England, but he remains the number two option for Ralf Rangnick for now.
However, should there be a decision taken to move him on, a new backup for the Spaniard will be needed, which is where former Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina could come in.
The Colombian is currently contracted to Napoli, where he is the current starter, but his future could quickly lie elsewhere.
The reason for that is his contract with the Italian side expires at the end of the campaign, and talk of a renewal hasn’t gone well.
Area Napoli look at it on Wednesday, and report the two parties are ‘increasingly distant’, with the former Gunners player’s lawyer now ‘probing various leads in search of a new accommodation for his client’.
There might be something at Flamengo, but the player would prefer to stay in Europe, but Real Madrid have already said no, considering him ‘secondary to other profiles’.
Al-Nassr FC is also an option, but they also aren’t in Europe, which is where Manchester United come in.
It’s said the Red Devils ‘could make Dean Henderson leave for a more reliable second option to David De Gea’, meaning the former Arsenal man.
In fact, the website state the player has been ‘offered’ to Manchester United, although what their response was isn’t revealed.
A bold move by the agent, but one that could pay off if Henderson starts seeking pastures anew.
