On Thursday, La Nazione covered West Ham’s interest in Nicolo Fortini.

The newspaper claimed Fiorentina were expecting offers for the young fullback. AS Roma had an offer rejected last week but were looking to make another one soon. Juventus were also a possible suitor.

West Ham were looking to offer Kyle Walker-Peters and Soungoutou Magassa as part of a deal for the 19-year-old.

There seem to have been some crucial developments on this front. Corriere dello Sport – relayed by LabaroViola, report about it. The newspaper are certain about Fortini now staying in Florence beyond January.

There is almost no chance the youngster leaves the Artemio Franchi. At the same time, Fiorentina have found no luck in a move for West Ham’s Magassa either.

Something similar is also reported by La Nazione today.

They clarify that the midfielder was offered to La Viola by several intermediaries. This had also attracted interest from Galatasaray. Now, the idea of signing the Frenchman has ‘lost momentum’. Even if those around him were trying to find a new club, attempts have ended in failure.

As for Fortini, they feel the chances of him leaving are now ‘remote’. No new offers have been put forward. With every passing day, West Ham or Roma are less likely to sign the right-back.
