After it was announced that Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United had reached some kind of agreement on the transfer fee for Stanley Nsoki, negotiations with the player hit a stumbling block.

It was reported the player and his representatives felt there was a large gap between the amount of game time promised (he would be a first-team player) by the Premier League club and the salary on offer.

More fuel was added to the speculation on Wednesday as the Ligue 1 champions sent a number of their squad back to France in hope they could secure moves elsewhere, and that’s what Nsoki’s agents are trying to do.

According to Soccer Link, the player’s representatives are ‘pushing’ for a move to Newcastle, but it’s the player who ‘isn’t thrilled at the project on offer’ from Steve Bruce’s side.

However, as things stand, the website explain it’s the only bid that’s come in for him, leaving him little choice if he wants to get more game time under his belt.

At 20 years of age, it’s something he will be needing sooner or later to avoid his development stagnating, and if Thomas Tuchel cannot guarantee him the minutes he needs and Steve Bruce can, then this move might be for the best.
