Mundo Deportivo report Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ‘no intention’ of leaving Barcelona and joining Chelsea this summer, after claims that the Blues are interested in his signing.

The forward left Arsenal during the January transfer window, and completed a much wanted move to the Camp Nou.

The Catalan newspaper say they’ve spoken to a source close to the former Gunners player, who has told them: “Auba is very happy at Barça and in Barcelona, and he doesn’t think about leaving.”

According to the same source, the 33-year-old had wanted a transfer to the club for four years before it finally happened, and therefore he doesn’t want to give up his dream move so soon.

Aubameyang isn’t too concerned about competition from new signing Robert Lewandowski, and played with the Poland international at Borussia Dortmund. He has a contract with Barcelona which lasts until June 2025, so will be able to see out the remainder of his top level career with the club, should he so wish.

Given all of that, this Chelsea interest, real or otherwise, doesn’t look like it’s going to amount to much.
