Over the weekend, claims built around a potential move for Senne Lammens to Leeds United.
The Whites had been interested during the summer and have now returned to take advantage of the player’s contractual situation.
With a deal running until the end of June 2023, the 20-year-old goalkeeper is able to negotiate with other clubs and agree a free transfer ahead of the summer.
Alternatively, he can push for a cut price move before the end of the current window, potentially after already agreeing a contract elsewhere.
Monday’s edition of HLN reports the goalkeeper is ‘on his way’ to Leeds United. It’s said he’s negotiating with the Premier League club, after they showed earlier interest.
It ‘remains to be seen’ whether Lammens will move in the current window or wait until he’s a free agent in the summer. Club Brugge have been trying to get a renewal, but have failed in that task.
Lammens ‘wants to play’ and has only had three appearances as Simon Mignolet’s support option. He doesn’t want to extend with Club Brugge and go out on loan.
Quite what he’d be expecting at Elland Road isn’t clear, yet it’s very unlikely he’d be first choice, at least initially.
