Victor Camarasa has been a hot topic this week, with Burnley and Crystal battling to sign the Real Betis midfielder before deadline day.
Palace appeared to have a move sown up, but Burnley had made a late move to scupper it and get the midfielder for themselves.
The Eagles were at the forefront of the negotiations, though, and yesterday we covered a report which said they had agreed to a loan deal with a purchase option included.
ABC Sevilla confirm that is the case in their report today and say Palace will pay €1.5 upfront with a €13.5m compulsory purchase option at the end of it.
However, the purchase option will only be activated if they stay in the Premier League and Camarasa plays at least 15 games next season.
That agreement has been finalised, but there is no agreement in place between the club and the player. That is something Palace are working on before Thursday’s deadline, and Camarasa missed training yesterday, with Betis’ permission, to sort things out.
The indication from ABC is that he will be going to Selhurst Park, but Marca believe he was also on the way to negotiate with Burnley, suggesting they are still in the running as well.
