Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund seems closer to completing his transfer to Manchester United.
According to the latest report from Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, the striker did not take part in Monday’s training session with the Serie A side.
It’s claimed that Hojlund is currently waiting for the paperwork to be completed, so he can fly to England and sign for Manchester United.
For now, there’s no information on when that’s expected to be finalised but it must surely be soon.
It was on Saturday that Pedulla broke the news about the agreement between Manchester United and Atalanta for Hojlund’s move.
According to his report, the deal is agreed on the basis of €70m, with bonuses allowing it to reach €80m.
It had already been claimed that the Red Devils asked Atalanta not to use the player in the friendly against Bournemouth, and with him now absent in training, it seems there isn’t a lot left for him to do at the Italian club.
Hojlund is set to become Erik ten Hag’s fourth signing of the summer, following the purchases of Mason Mount and André Onana, as well as Johnny Evnas’ temporary return as a free agent.
