Flamengo midfielder Matheus França continues to take his final steps before completing a transfer to Crystal Palace.
A couple of days ago, the player had already thrown a farewell party to say goodbye to friends and family before moving to London.
Now, according to an exclusive report from Coluna do Fla, the player has missed Flamengo’s training session on Tuesday ahead of the Crystal Palace move.
It’s claimed that França is currently organising the trip to England, and to sort the final details, he did not show up at the club. He’s not expected to play for the Brazilian side again.
Crystal Palace are reportedly signing França in a deal worth €20m plus bonuses. We already covered claims which say there’s €5m in add-ons related to his performance goals, and another €5m in case he wins the Ballon d’Or. Flamengo are expected to keep 20% of a future transfer.
Now it shouldn’t take long until the transfer is confirmed by both clubs. Matheus França is still a youngster showing big potential, and the Eagles must be patient with his start in English football.
