Still in need of a striker to fill the gap left by the sale of Sébastien Haller to Ajax Amsterdam, West Ham United reportedly set their eyes on Paul Onuachu.

The Hammers got to see the prolific goalscorer up close on Thursday night as they faced KRC Genk in the Europa League, but the towering forward never really got going.

Whether it was nerves or simply good defending by West Ham, that’s something only he will know, but what is certain is that he will have wanted to impress.

After all, the self-proclaimed Arsenal fans reportedly ‘dreams of playing in London and England’, with the Hammers clearly a good stepping stone for him.

DH in Belgium are the ones saying this, explaining he didn’t exactly ‘leaving his calling card’ with his performance, and straight up ‘missed his date’.

This comes a month after it was predicted that he would be ‘gone in January’ if he managed to ‘hand over his business card’ in the clash.

He didn’t do that, but he’ll get another chance soon in the return leg, and we’ll have to wait and see if any of this has changed West Ham’s mind about him.
