West Bromwich Albion’s Okay Yokuşlu is very close to signing for Trabzonspor.
The 30-year-old has been linked with the Super Lig side heavily in recent weeks and it now seems only a matter of time before his transfer is officially announced. Yesterday we covered reports that he’d arrived in Turkey, so it’s pretty concrete.
Gunebakis have reported on the latest developments regarding the future of the West Brom player and they say he’ll have a medical today to seal his move to the Trabzon side.
Personal terms with Yokuşlu have been agreed and he will sign a three-year contract with his former club. According to the Turkish media outlet a €1.7m transfer fee has been agreed with West Brom.
The Baggies are letting the player fulfil his desire for a return to his home country,
Yokuşlu made 18 appearances for West Brom last season and is contracted to the Baggies until June 2025. That contract length and the player’s age will have helped bring the transfer fee down.
