In the summer transfer window, Crystal Palace emerged as a suitor for Inter Milan’s Yann Bisseck.
Gazzetta dello Sport reported in September that the Eagles made two bids for the German. Inter were offered €42m for the defender but were intent on keeping him at the club.
Bisseck himself also rejected a move to Selhurst Park. Now, he could be regretting his decision.
Calciomercato.it report the 24-year-old has slipped to the bottom of the defensive hierarchy at Inter. This is only weeks after a move to Crystal Palace fell through.
Bisseck put in a poor performance in the Italian giants’ defeat to Udinese earlier this season. Since then, he hasn’t played once for Cristian Chivu’s side.
He is said to be suffering from ‘poor form’, with new signing Manuel Akanji having replaced him. The Switzerland international is also expected to start in Inter’s Champions League clash against Slavia this week.
While Bisseck may regret rejecting Crystal Palace, the same can’t be said for the London club.
They are flying in the Premier League and beat Liverpool at the weekend. Bisseck has always been inconsistent for Inter and Oliver Glasner’s side may have dodged a bullet.
