There’s a claim in the Turkish media, Trabonspor are continuing to show an interest in Burnley forward Wout Weghorst.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a move away from Turf Moor this summer, with a number of clubs looking to sign him.
Baskatip today report Weghorst is making concrete steps to leave Burnley after weighing up his future after Euro 2024. It’s claimed Trabzonspor are one of the clubs in a strong position to sign the player this month.
The Championship side are reportedly looking to get in the region of €10m for any club wanting to sign the Dutchman.
Trabzonspor should expect to face competition to sign Weghorst with Ajax looking to give him the opportunity to return to his home country. Scottish giants Rangers have also been linked with the former Manchester United man in recent days.
With just 12 months left on his contract the Championship side will be under pressure to offload him this summer or risk losing him on a free next summer.
Weghorst previously had a brief loan spell in Turkey with Besiktas during the 2022/23 season.
