Pep Guardiola has Kyle Walker and Danilo as the two recognised right-backs at Manchester City and the latter’s future at the club remains uncertain as he’s been linked with a move to Inter Milan.

If the Brazilian leaves the Etihad, the former Barcelona manager will have to bring in a replacement for him, who can also challenge the England international for a place in the starting XI.

According to Le10 Sport, the Catalan coach has gone through several names and then included Strasbourg’s Kenny Lala on his summer transfer list.

Over the past few weeks, scouts from the Premier League winners have regularly observed the 27-year-old and it’s claimed the English side are ‘interested’ in him.

The player was also followed by Wolfsburg, but they have ended their interest in the Frenchman after they agreed a deal to sign Kevin Mbabu from Young Boys.

Lala signed a new contract with the Ligue 1 outfit in January and his current deal expires in 2021. L’Equipe earlier reported that he is valued at €15m, but Le10 Sport claims his asking price is €10m.

The aforementioned figures, be it €15m or €10m, should not be an issue for Manchester City, if they are keen on acquiring the Strasbourg fullback’s services.

The defender has made 30 starts in the league, scoring four goals and registering nine assists in the process.
