Arsenal fans might be getting the striker signing they’ve all been hoping for, but it isn’t Gonzalo Higuain, Karim Benzema or any other big name.

In fact, this one has come a bit out of the blue, but considering the source who doesn’t usually partake in much transfer fun, it could be worth listening to.

According to Ludovic Deroin, who works for Canal + and infosport in France, on Twitter, alleged West Ham target Wissam Ben Yedder will make the final decision on his future, and that is to choose whether he wants to play for Sevilla or Arsenal.

The Toulouse striker, who has been given the green light to leave this summer after many years of services, will be available for cheap (no more than €10m) and could prove a shrewd piece of business for Arsène Wenger.

The 25-year-old is a very consistent performer, scoring on average 15 league goals a season since 2012-13 for Toulouse, and would certainly be an interesting plan B for Arsène Wenger with his movement and finishing were Olivier Giroud to struggle in a game.

Ludovic Deroin says the decision should be taken by the player ‘in the next few hours’, so we’ll be keeping an eye on this.
