Earlier on Tuesday, we covered claims made in Italy that Leeds United are planning new contact with AS Roma today over a deal for Nicolò Zaniolo.

It was also stated the Whites could change their offer after their loan proposal was not accepted by the Serie A side.

The Giallorossi are looking to get rid of the forward and Calciomercato state Leeds’ Jack Harrison seems to be their last hope in their efforts to achieve this.

Leicester City are interested in Harrison and are in talks with Jesse Marsch’s side to buy him for €30m on deadline day. If this sale goes through, it would give Leeds the liquidity to sign the Italy international.

Zaniolo has ‘made it clear’ he likes the option to join Leeds, who have presented an offer to his agent, Claudio Vigorelli. The Whites want him on loan with an option to buy, which will be converted into an obligation if certain set conditions are met.

This doesn’t please José Mourinho’s side. The report states Roma are ‘inflexible’ with their position and insist the player is ‘only leaving on a permanent basis’.

Unless Leeds and Roma can find a compromise, Zaniolo is likely to finish the season in Italy.
