AS Monaco star Benoît Badiashile has ended up on West Ham United’s radar, according to claims this week.

The centre-back has featured 28 times in all competitions and his performances for the Ligue 1 side have caught the attention of several clubs across Europe.

Calciomercato have a short report focusing on Juventus interest in the defender. The website further adds the 21-year-old is also ‘liked’ by West Ham United.

‘There is not only Juve in the footsteps’ of the France U21 international as they are joined by the Hammers and Borussia Dortmund in chasing the player.

Claims made by Calciomercato are relayed by Il Bianconero, who further add Badiashile’s reported asking price is set at €30m.

It’s claimed the Old Lady would be willing to make an offer to acquire his services, but they will ‘have to deal with the competition’, likely from West Ham United and Dortmund.

Kurt Zouma, Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna and Issa Diop are currently the four centre-backs available at David Moyes’ disposal. The latter’s deal expires in 2023 and he’s a serious target for Lyon. Ogbonna, 33, has a contract running down in June.

It would make sense for the Premier League side to focus on strengthening their defence in the summer and Badiashile’s signing would bolster their back line.
