Often linked with a move back to Italy, Arsenal midfielder Jorginho is again involved in transfer rumours.
Outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi now features a story about Maurizio Sarri’s wish to sign the player this summer.
It’s said the coach had a meeting with Lazio president Claudio Lotito and the Arsenal star was mentioned during the chat.
According to the outlet, Jorginho ‘is leaving’ the Gunners, as despite the year left on his contract, he ‘wouldn’t mind returning to Italy at all’.
That’s why it’s the costs of the operation that the Serie A side should be worried about.
Regarding the price for the transfer, it’s said that he shouldn’t be very expensive, since Jorginho is turning 32 and becomes a free agent next year.
The ‘most difficult’ issue is his salary, and Lazio shall work on that. The signing is said to be just an idea for now, and the Italian club should soon start working on it.
Sarri previously worked with Jorginho at Napoli and Chelsea, and now would like to have the player by his side once again.
