Celtic manager Martin O’Neill will soon welcome Qarabağ FK’s Camilo Durán at Celtic Park, if there are no setbacks.
The Scottish champions have been looking to improve their attack this summer and have identified a few targets.

Later that month, O’Neill’s side missed out on Rodez AF’s Taïryk Arconte to Millwall.
This has seen the Celtic Park club focus on Durán, who joined the Azerbaijan club from Portimonense in August 2025.
Celtic edging closer to signing
The Glasgow club are now on the verge of signing Camilo Durán, according to Sport Info from Azerbaijan.
Celtic have reached an agreement with both the 24-year-old and Qarabağ FK to sign him.
The Colombian has agreed a three-year deal with Martin O’Neill’s side, with an option for another year.
Recent claims from the Scottish media and elsewhere have mentioned a fee of £2-3m [€2.3-€3.5m]. The outlet relays this and insists the fee could be over €5m, probably with bonuses.
Update on Celtic medical
The striker, who can also operate on both wings, has to carry out transfer formalities to complete the Celtic move.
Qarabağ FK are preparing for the Europa League first qualifying round against Vestri on Thursday.
Ahead of this clash, Sport Info now claims Camilo Durán has left their camp to travel to Scotland for the Celtic medical.
The South American should undergo medical tests with Martin O’Neill’s side on Tuesday and Wednesday. This is pending for him to complete a move to Celtic Park.
Qarabağ to make quick profit
Camilo Durán has a contract until 2028, and Transfermarkt value him at €2m.
Last season, he mainly operated as a striker and occasionally on both wings. The attacker scored 15 goals and contributed 10 assists from 45 matches.
Qarabağ invested £200,000 [€234,281] to sign him from Portimonense and will now make a huge profit from his sale.
