AC Milan star Ismaël Bennacer has his eyes on Liverpool as the Italian champions work on securing his long-term future.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb, who mention the Reds in their report that focuses on the 24-year-old’s renewal.
The Algeria international has over 18 months left on his contract and negotiations for his renewal will soon come to life.
The Rossoneri have offered him a deal worth €3m net per year, but this isn’t enough as the midfielder is demanding over €4m annually plus bonuses. Despite the difference, the ‘sensations are positive’ and the former Arsenal man seems to be open to signing a new deal at the San Siro.
TMW somehow doubt this. They state that if this were to be true, Bennacer will not be ‘keeping an eye’ on Liverpool, where their manager, Jurgen Klopp, is a ‘great admirer’ of the player.
Over at Calciomercato, they say Enzo Raiola is the Algerian’s new agent and will take care of his renewal with the Serie A winners. They also tag the Merseyside club in their report.
It’s said Liverpool were ‘really thinking about’ Bennacer in the summer even though there were rumours of Manchester United looking at him.
Milan must find a way with Enzo Raiola to secure the player’s renewal, if they want to make sure that Bennacer isn’t looking at the Premier League.
