Trabzonspor have included Watford’s Wesley Hoedt in their target list, according to claims from Turkey.
The centre-back has featured regularly at Watford since joining them from Southampton in January 2023. He has a year left on his deal but wants to leave Vicarage Road.
That’s according to Fotomaç, who state the 30-year-old is keen to join the Turkish club this summer.
It’s claimed the Süper Lig side have made an ‘official offer’ to the defender. The details of the proposal aren’t mentioned, but he’s currently evaluating it, and the negotiations are ongoing between the two parties.
Sports Digitale journalist Safa Can Konuksever, via X, formerly known as Twitter, to share more on this case.
Trabzonspor are working to bolster their backline in this window and Safa Can Konuksever states that among their defensive targets, they are ‘closest to’ the Watford player.
He further adds the Championship side have ‘opened the door’ for the Dutchman’s exit for €3m, but the price is being lowered during negotiations between the two clubs.
With Hoedt keen to leave Watford, the Trabzon club will have to make a proposal to convince the Hornets to sanction his sale.
