According to Gunes, Watford defender Jose Holebas wants to join Galatasaray before the transfer window closes.
Holebas reportedly wants to leave Watford, following his confrontation with his own fans after the last game against Southampton. Gunes say Holebas is very keen to play in Turkey, and that it would mean he’d be closer to his home country Greece.
With Badou Ndiaye on the verge of a €16m move to Stoke City, Galatasaray will have money to spend in the final days of this window, and they could try to use some of it to bring in the Watford player.
Holebas started the first game of Javi Gracia’s reign, but it’s unclear whether the Premier League club want him to stay for the remainder of the season.
The 32 year old has previously been linked with a move to Galatasaray, and there have been reports the Turkish giants are willing to offer Watford €600K for a 6 month loan deal.
