Diogo Dalot to Manchester United is pretty much done, and A Bola seemed to have boxed it off so much that they’re not making a song and dance of it in their Saturday edition.
In a small article it’s explained Dalot has landed himself a five year contract to join the Premier League club and everything is agreed between Porto and Manchester United.
Previous reports from Portugal stated Dalot wanted his new club (think we can get away with that now) to pay more than his €20m release clause, so he didn’t leave on bad terms.
A Bola say the fee now agreed is €24m and Dalot is waiting for authorisation that the deal is complete and Porto will notify the CMVM.
Once that’s done it’s the announcement, with Porto being obliged to release the information to the Securities Market Commission because of their company setup.
There’s nothing else said, and it’s not even being carried by the other Portuguese newspapers, such is the way the deal is seen now.
This very much looks to be Manchester United’s first signing of the summer.
