Standard Liege defender Nathan Ngoy is in Luton today for a medical ahead of a move to the Championship club.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that the player’s move to Luton is now in the final stages.
We covered reports earlier this week stating that Ngoy could practically consider himself a Luton player after a deal was agreed between the two clubs.
Tavolieri now reports that Ngoy has already travelled to England and is in Luton to undergo a medical at some point today.
He states that if all goes to plan, Ngoy will sign a long-term contract with the Hatters on Tuesday. His move to Luton will be made official after that has happened.
The deal for him with Standard Liege is completely done, with Luton set to pay €5m to secure the centre-back’s services.
He’ll become their sixth signing of the summer, but only the second player they’ve paid to sign after Mark McGuinness’ €11.7m move from Cardiff earlier in the window.
That’s dependent on him passing his medical, of course, but it seems there’s confidence that will happen and he’ll be a Luton player officially by Tuesday at the latest.
