Following Argentina’s Copa América debut against Canada, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is being hyped up by his home country’s media.
Newspaper Olé features a full page story about the 28-year-old, and by highlighting his good form, they also end up having to explain what’s been happening to him in England.
The outlet points out all of Lo Celso’s qualities on and off the pitch, claiming he’s also very influential in the national squad and is part of the core in squad which includes the likes of Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria.
Speaking of his career in Europe, Olé claims the midfielder ‘does not have the continuity he deserves’ at Tottenham, and that’s why he can ‘surely change clubs’ this summer, as he has ‘many offers’ to choose from.
Lo Celso himself spoke to the newspaper explaining the highs and lows that Argentina had against Canada, hoping they’ll do better in the upcoming Copa América games.
There’s been suggestions in recent months that Tottenham may see a future with Lo Celso, and with him doing well for the national team, that may encourage that desire or at least keep his value relatively high.
