Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow is edging closer to completing a move to Southampton.
That’s according to De Telegraaf, who state the 26-year-old hopes to seal a move to St Mary’s ‘within 24 hours’.
On Sunday evening, the stopper made a trip to England, to carry out transfer formalities with Southampton.
It’s claimed Bijlow has carried out medical tests with the English club on Monday. He will continue discussion with Southampton on Tuesday, to sort out the ‘final details’.
The report makes no mention of what these details are, but there’s optimism that it’ll be sorted out soon.
The Netherlands international and his agent have visited Southampton’s training facilities. De Telegraaf add Russell Martin’s side are ‘delighted with his arrival’ because of his experience, both for club and country.
Bijlow can be in contention to make his debut for the Premier League side when they face Brentford on Saturday.
The report makes no mention of the details of the operation. At the weekend, Voetbal International stated the Saints will sign the Dutchman on a loan deal with an obligation to buy if he makes 20 appearances this season.
