Ongoing for quite some time, the saga involving Takehiro Tomiyasu and Tottenham is far from resolved.
While there have been claims from England that Spurs and Bologna had reached an agreement over the Japan international’s transfer, Corriere dello Sport make it clear that isn’t the case.
Those at the Serie A side are ‘denying the rumour almost with disdain’, making it clear they ‘haven’t spoken to Fabio Paratici for days’.
Even with claims that Leicester City could go after him, there have been no step forwards, despite the hard work of the player’s entourage, who are ‘doing everything to bring him to the Premier League’.
In fact, ‘it’s pointless to hide that Tomiyasu hoped to be able to wear the Tottenham shirt for the past couple of weeks’, only to see his club ‘continue to ask a price Paratici has turned a deaf ear to’, meaning the deal is now ‘off’.
Bologna continue to want a figure of around €25m (including bonuses), but at that price, ‘it will hardly be done’.
Should the Serie A side decide to lower that, however, at around €20m, ‘the scenario could change’.
Paratici is now counting the pennies, it seems.
