VfL Wolfsburg’s Maxence Lacroix has ended up on Everton’s agenda for the next window, according to a report from Germany.

The centre-back has less than 18 months left on his deal and recent claims from Italy have stated both Juventus and AC Milan are keen on signing him.

Bild relay that and then provide their own take on this case, which is when they mention Everton.

The defender has ‘sparked interest’ in England and only the Toffees are named as an interested party. It’s further claimed Sean Dyche’s side have been closely monitoring the 23-year-old for months.

Towards the end of last year, the Frenchman changed agents and is currently represented by Unique Sports Group. Their client list includes Chelsea’s Reece James, Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon, Everton’s Dwight McNeil and several others.

The report points out the ‘defensive chief’ has often flirted with a transfer and Bild use his admission of wanting a move to RB Leipzig in 2021 as an example.

The German newspaper explains that a transfer is ‘not unrealistic’ in the summer and Wolfsburg will need €20m to part ways with him.
