Orel Mangala has signed his contract with Everton, finalising his loan move from Lyon on deadline day.

That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri, who reports that the midfielder signed his deal with Everton in the last hour and his transfer has now been ‘sealed and completed’.

Everton have made their move for the Lyon midfielder this week as they look to strengthen their options at the end of the transfer window.

They’ve targeted the Belgian as a replacement for Amadou Onana, who left to join Aston Villa earlier in the summer.

A deal was quickly agreed with Lyon for the player to make the move and reports yesterday indicated he would be in Liverpool today to finalise the move.

There had been some fear that Everton were set to miss out as a late bid from Fiorentina muddied the waters and Italian reports insisted Mangala wanted to move there instead.

That has not proven to be the case, though, and Tavolieri reports that Mangala signed his deal with Everton in the last hour.

His temporary move to Goodison Park is now sealed and completed and Sean Dyche has the extra midfield reinforcement his squad needed.
