On Thursday, Gazzetta dello Sport reported Crystal Palace have made a €32m offer to sign Inter Milan’s Yann Bisseck.
The amount put forward wasn’t enough to convince the Italian giants, who wanted €40m for a sale. Today’s Gazzetta dello Sport had more information on Crystal Palace’s interest in the German and their chances of success.
They report the 24-year-old ‘has rejected’ the Eagles, and as of now the Nerazzurri are in no desperate need to sell players.
The newspaper once again indicate state Crystal Palace will need at least €40m to sign Bisseck but unless there is a major U-turn, the centre-back is expected to stay at Inter.
The Germany international’s contract at Cristian Chivu’s side runs until 2029.
The Nerazzurri are expected to head into next season with the same backline as they had last season, with no other outgoings on the cards right now.
Bisseck had an inconsistent 2024/25 season. He did put in key performances in the Champions League but was also at fault multiple times in Serie A.
This suggests that for the fee on offer, Crystal Palace can perhaps get a defender who is more consistent.
