Real Betis are interested in signing Liverpool goalkeeper Adrián in the summer window, according to multiple reports from Spain.
The 37-year-old’s deal expires at the end of June, and two days ago, Liverpool confirmed that they have offered him a new contract.
Claudio Bravo has left the La Liga side, leaving them with Rui Silva and Fran Vieites as their two recognised stoppers.
Mundo Deportivo state the Andalusian club want another goalkeeper to replace Bravo, and this is where the Liverpool player fits in.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have shown interest in Álvaro Valles, but they aren’t willing to meet Las Palmas’ demand. His deal expires in 2025, and their idea is to sign him for free next year.
Meanwhile, Real Betis have set their sights on Adrián, and there has already been talks between the two parties. Mundo add that the stopper ‘would be delighted’ to return to his old club, which is why he has ‘put aside’ Liverpool’s renewal offer.
El Desmarque state the Spaniard has ‘given his approval’ to Real Betis, as long as they plan to have three goalkeepers in the squad next season.
Adrián is keen on returning to his former club and if this deal were to be completed, it will be a ‘dream come true’ for him. Therefore, he now favours Real Betis over signing a new deal at Anfield.
