Three days ago, we covered claims from Germany which stated 1. FC Köln’s Dejan Ljubičić definitely wants to go to Leeds United this summer.
The midfielder has a year left on his deal. Köln want to offer him a new contract and already rejected Leeds’ €4m bid.
Bild reiterate the 26-year-old’s desire to join the Whites and claim that he has Leeds ‘on his mind’.
The Austria international has been wanting to leave throughout this summer, but his club are yet to receive a convincing offer.
A knee injury forced him to miss their last match and he’s already regained full fitness. Ljubičić, who wants to join Leeds, has been training with the second division German club since Wednesday.
Bild suggest Ljubičić’s desire to leave would be strengthened if Köln manager Gerhard Struber were to leave him out of the squad to face Eintracht Braunschweig on Sunday.
In short, his case is becoming stressful as we get closer towards transfer deadline day.
Bild state Daniel Farke’s side are ‘considering increasing their offer’ to sign the midfielder, without mentioning the fee they plan to propose. This may convince Köln to sanction a move, to avoid losing the player for free in 2025.
