Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Fábio Silva has excelled at UD Las Palmas since joining them on loan on last summer deadline day.
The striker has scored eight goals and registered two assists from 21 league games this season. His fine displays haven’t gone unnoticed, especially in Spain.
That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, who state the Wolves man has attracted interest of Atlético Madrid, Villarreal and Sevilla.
The report states it ‘won’t be easy’ for the La Liga trio to try and sign the 22-year-old in the summer window.
Silva’s development at Las Palmas has helped him make debut for Portugal in November. It has also seen his market value increase as Transfermarkt currently value him at €20m. This could be the reason why Atlético, Villarreal or Sevilla could find it difficult to sign the Wolves owned player.
Over at AS, they look at the Portugal international’s season so far and also talk about his future.
The newspaper states several Spanish teams with ‘high aspirations’ are showing interest in the frontman, without mentioning their details.
It’s unlikely for Silva to extend his stay at Las Palmas and the report states his ‘desire’ is to permanently settle in Spain. Silva has a contract until 2026 at Molineux and AS add interested parties have to negotiate with Wolves.
