Guido Rodríguez joined West Ham United on a free transfer last summer, after spending four years at Real Betis.
The Argentina international has played over 1,000 minutes from 21 games for West Ham.
He initially featured regularly before losing his place in the starting lineup, especially after West Ham replaced Julen Lopetegui with Graham Potter in January.
AS in Mexico cover Club América’s interest and the midfielder’s plans for the future.
Rodríguez spent three years at the Mexican club before joining Real Betis in 2020. He has an option of returning to Club América, who are one of his main interested parties.
The report states Club América have already started to try and tempt the 30-year-old to return to the club. They will face competition from River Plate, as their manager, Marcelo Gallardo, is keen on bringing the player back in the summer window.
River Plate failed to sign the West Ham player in January and would make a new attempt after this season. Real Betis could be an option while Sevilla are also monitoring his situation.
AS state Rodríguez has ‘decided to leave’ West Ham after this season and his entourage are looking for a new destination. With several clubs in the picture, ‘everything indicates’ his exit is imminent.
The report adds the ‘next few weeks’ will be crucial for the Argenitne to decide his next destination.
